Greener land with Justdiggit | To cool the planet we need to focus on reforestation as part of reducing green house gases. Vegetation is the air conditioning of our planet. Justdiggit has been re-greening regions in Africa and successfully working towards creating a hydraulic corridor that is reforesting areas one at a time by partnering with local communities and introducing sustainable agriculture to create healthy ecosystems. How? By simply digging small holes in the earth that capture water. No need for fancy equipment, just team work, strategy and letting nature do the work. The results are staggeringly successful, bringing back healthy eco systems and economies to entire regions and families who can now live off the land, afford schooling and food. Justdiggit is a charity that exists thanks to our support. You can donate here and watch their short video in this article. I am very proud to now be an ambassador for Justdiggit so you will see me supporting the charity on social media. Their spokesperson is none other than Desmond Tutu. So can you dig it?

Know your Carbon Foot Print with Global Foot Print Network This is an amazing organisation advancing the science of sustainability and spreading knowledge. It is important to understand how we can actually reduce our carbon footprint every day. You will be surprised by your results, even if you are doing your best efforts, I know I was. Calculate your footprint here.

Local Activism with Patagonia Action Works | Connect with local organisations (a bit like a dating site) to take action in saving our planet and make a difference in the most urgent issues facing our world today here. We need to realise we have the power to fight global warming. Portugal is creating change. In March the country generated enough renewable energy to power the whole land.

Reconnect with Plants with Smart Plant App | Loving our planet starts with understanding nature's cycles, and that includes living and caring for plants even for us city dwellers. Do you feel like you don't know a thing about how to grow plants? Say no more and start finding out all you need to know with this app.
